EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHIES

Anna Strasberg
Ms. Strasberg came to America from Venezuela in 1960 and began working at the United Nations as Special Assistant to Jeff Sparks in the Cultural Department, working directly under the supervision of Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. Interested in theatre, Anna worked off-off-Broadway with the Washington Players Theatre. She also worked in television and films. Ms. Strasberg met and married the legendary director, actor and master teacher Mr. Lee Strasberg of the Actors Studio in 1967. Representing the United States, Mr. and Mrs. Strasberg traveled for the State Department to Germany, Russia, Buenos Aires and Italy. Today, Ms. Strasberg continues the work of The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institutes in New York and Los Angeles. She founded, and is the Artistic Director of, The Lee Strasberg Creative Center, a nonprofit organization through which scholarships in acting, writing and directing are given yearly to talented and deserving young artists of the inner city. Scholarships to study at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute have also been awarded to disadvantaged students from the United World College of The Atlantic in Wales, where Mrs. Strasberg has also lectured. She has also received the Nosotros Award for pioneering programs to develop the talents of Hispanic actors and playwrights.
